poor signage vending machine
The room included a fridge and microwave, allowing breakfast preparation. Good quality linen was on the bed.
The entry gate was difficult to find in heavy rain. I ended up at the Novatel next-door initially. Signage was lacking, I thought. I regret the lack of dining. The only vending machine was available on the weekend.

small space uncomfortable bathroom
the location was excellent because it was very close to family i was visiting.
i stayed in a single room, and i wouldn't recommend the bathroom because the shower and toilet are very close together, leaving little space. it was really uncomfortable.

solid stay
quick walk convenient location handy laundry
The hotel's location was convenient. The 86 tram was a quick five-minute walk. the mernda train line, a ten-minute walk, offered direct access to flinders street station. i liked the shower and the bonus of a kettle, fridge, and microwave in the room. laundry facilities were conveniently located on the same floor. That was handy!
the walls were thin and i could hear noise from neighboring rooms. doors slamming at night were disruptive. alarms sometimes went off at odd hours, so some routine cleaning to prevent noise might have helped.

reception staff were very helpful! the friendly service made a difference during both check-in and check-out. their assistance enhanced my overall impression of the place. communication was efficient and solved my doubts.

a satisfactory stay
comfortable room kitchen appliances lack of cleaning small toiletries
the room was very comfortable. kitchen appliances were provided and a kitchenette was close to the room.
during my stay, my room was never cleaned. i received one toilet paper and two sample-sized bottles of shampoo and soap, requiring me to find the staff to request additional toilet paper.

great gym nice pool dismissive staff towel request
the gym and pool were acceptable.
I found it difficult to get a hold of reception staff. They seemed dismissive when i needed something. i requested new towels several times and was told i could get them soon, either when some were collected or when my room was cleaned. my room was only cleaned once of two nights.
